Practice Sketch 190209

Okay, I was never a fan of homework, but it became far more difficult to focus on my work when I could hear the other kids in the neighborhood playing outside.

Practice Sketch 190203

I often found myself sitting on the curb at the end of the street watching traffic drive by whenever things got too volatile and uncomfortable in the house growing up. It was far easier to remove myself from that environment than it was to try and drown it out with music in my room.

The truth is, no matter how much I'd like to see everyone get along, some people argue and fight. I am sure in the heat of the moment it is difficult not to focus on themselves and whoever else directly involved, but I hope they can step back for a moment and see just how their behavior may be negatively affecting those around them.

Who knows - the world might be a better place if they did.

Practice Sketch 190202

Arguably my favorite subject in school was math - especially algebra. Show me the formula and I was all set! I'd rarely get a problem wrong. I even remember other students would rely on me to help them understand how the formulas worked. I don't think I've encountered many real-life situations that relied on algebraic equations though...don't know how good I'd be at it now.  😕
