Another activity our parents used to keep us children busy during the summer...season passes to the community pool! 🏊♂️
Not only was it refreshing on a hot day to go for a swim, it seemed like all the popular kids hung out there throughout the summer. 😎
Once summer vacation started, my parents tried to find creative ways to keep us children active and entertained. One way was dropping us off at the local skate rink.
It was fun skating around while the chart toppers thumped through the speaker system...
...who am I kidding?! I spent most of my time hanging around the roller rink's video games 😅
Something about summer vacation, watching the adults in the neighborhood drive off to work while I'm out skateboarding. 😅🛹

Remembering when the family would celebrate Father's Day by having dinner out at a nice restaurant.
We always seemed to have a fun time together! 😁
Just in time for Father's Day... and I didn't even plan it!
When I wanted to help mow the lawn with my father, I used the middle bar to help push the mower. It was like that bar was made for me 😊
Once school was out for the summer, I couldn't wait to do all the things I couldn't during the school year! 😴
