It's Science Fair season! It can be a challenge putting a science fair project together... especially when you are dealing with the chicken pox! 🤒

Fortunately my father and sister helped me gather the information I needed to finalize my project. Despite all adversity I faced that year I still managed to earn a bronze medal at the fair! 🥉😁

There were times when my parents would wait until my hair hung down over my eyes before they took me for a haircut. When it grew long like that, it'd get a little difficult to deal with. 😂

Today's sketch was inspired by the fact that racing is back on TV. This is how I used to play with cars...imagining I am behind the wheel. 😎

I'm always excited to see racing back on television. It's one of the signs that spring is right around the corner.

This time of year...with spring right around the corner...it reminds me of the beginning of soccer practices!

Some of you that know me may have noticed my nose has been broken...a few times. I can't remember every time I broke it, but one time I'm sure I damaged my nose was during a school soccer game. I ended up taking a hard soccer kick square in the face. With my glasses still on. Boy did that hurt, but I managed to play on!

Just a memory I am reminded of every time I look in the mirror and see my crooked nose 😅 ⚽️

I remember when we'd hang a box on the front of our desk, and children would walk around delivering Valentine's Day cards. What a nerve racking moment...hoping someone would be nice and give you a card for Valentine's Day. 😅

I loved customizing my cars. My first car even had a driver...it had a G.I. Joe figure's head in the driver's cockpit. 😂

Skating "goofy foot" style!

When I learned to skate, I found it more comfortable skating "goofy foot" - with my right foot towards the front of the skateboard. It just seemed more natural to stand/balance with my right while pushing off with my left. Sure, I was picked on for skating "the wrong way", but that didn't stop me! 😁

Lunchtime was a great place for a game of paper football! I think we had more fun trying to smack each other in the face when we flicked for a field goal though. 😂
