My mother liked to cook steak for dinner. Unfortunately, the steaks she served were often pretty tough!
As she saw me struggling to chew the steak, my mother would tell me to "drink some milk". It may have made the steak a bit easier to chew, but it didn't improve on the taste. 😅

Sometimes I wondered how I could fit all the assigned homework into one night. Maybe that's why I didn't try. 😅

It didn't take long for any excitement of a new school year to quickly fade away! 😅
After my parents took me shopping for the new school year, I'd stare at the pile of new supplies on my chair. I couldn't wait to tear into the new gear! 📓📒🎒
Of course, most of the supplies would be destroyed before the end of the year. 😅
Clothes shopping was torture as a child! My mother wanted to see me in every outfit before she bought anything. The pile of clothes I had to try on never seemed to end! 😳👕👖
Assigned summer reading!
Fortunately, I had only a few teachers who assigned summer reading. I always wanted to enjoy my summer break as long as possible, so I usually waited until the last possible minute to start reading. 📚😅📚
