The town I grew up in seemed to get a lot of thunderstorms. You knew to head back to the house as soon as the sky started to darken or risk being caught out in the middle of a storm. 🌩

The Long Walk Home

This happened to me once. I hit a curb riding my bike - the bike came to a stop, and I was launched over the handlebars, sliding to a stop on the sidewalk.

Both of my elbows and knees were pretty roughed up, my bike was bent out of shape, and I was still a few blocks away from the house.

I ended up walking my bike home...knees and elbows bleeding badly...as much as I tried to act like nothing was wrong, it was no surprise neighbors were staring as I walked by 😕
