This time of year reminds me of an old family tradition...the Bluemont Fair!
Tucked back in the Virginian mountains, the fair had so much to take in...apple cider, a bake sale with amazing homemade fudge, local crafter's market, a community yard sale (where I usually found a trinket I could spend my allowance on), a kids creativity center, a hot air balloon...Great memories ❤
Wanted to capture some excitement for the start of the new school year. 😁
I know I portray Zack dreading school, but for me there was always an excitement to the new school year...new clothes, new school supplies, new classes, catching up with friends, making new ones...there was a lot to get excited about!
Still, one of my favorite moments of the school day was dismissal. 😂
When Mom was on an oatmeal kick...
Don't get me wrong, I didn't mind eating oatmeal, but it would get a little old when that was breakfast morning after morning. 😬
I can't help but think having classes at home would've been something like this. 😅📚

When you realize a split second decision was wrong, and you already know what you should have done, the last thing you want is a barrage of colleagues explaining you made a mistake and telling you what you should have done differently. 😳
One of the games I enjoyed as a child...standing up my action figures across my bedroom so I could lob bouncy balls at them to see how many I could knock down. 😂
My parents were not amused. 😡
Remembering when you couldn't wait to stay up late Saturday night to catch the party mixes on the local radio stations 🎵😎
One of the dumber things I did as a child...wore a football helmet once while riding my bike.
The wind made a whistling noise through the helmet's ear holes, so I nearly pedaled head first into an on-coming car because I couldn't hear it. 😬
