Rain Storm

 

It happened a few times - getting caught in a downpour while on a bike ride. On a hot day it could be a bit refreshing...except for the spray from the rear wheel that'd run up my back as I pedaled. 😖

Saturday Night TV

Another activity during summer vacation...Saturday night television!

After playing outside all day in the summer heat, I'd hurry to take a bath so I could settle down to catch some nighttime TV.

The local channel had a Saturday night lineup of Sci-Fi shows. I watched for the spaceship battles! 😅🤓

Library

Another activity that kept us children entertained during the summer...visiting the public library! So many books, yet I always seemed to gravitate to the same titles. 😅📚

Action!

 

Another summer activity...the movies! It was always a highlight when we got to see a movie, even if it was the matinee ! 😅😎🎬

Parade

 

Another activity that kept us children busy during the summer...parades! We were part of a drum and majorette corps, and the group seemed to participate in almost every parade in the region throughout the summer.

My sister was a majorette, and she was pretty awesome at twirling batons...I just had a problem of getting too close while she practiced her routine. 😅
