A bonus when we'd visit my grandparents...my father would stop by a newsstand on the way. I was in awe at how many comic books they carried! The challenge was narrowing down my selection to just a couple per visit! ðð
I was so eager to find out what happens in them, I'd read the comics in the car on our way. Not recommended for someone who gets car sick easily. ðĩðŦ
Almost as fun as jumping down the stairs...I loved racing up the stairs as fast as I could!
The thunderous sound of me climbing up steps definitely got on the family's nerves! ð♂️ð

This time of year, my friend and I would find creative things to keep us busy, like hitting golf balls in the field behind our houses.

My parents probably wondered why I was so quiet when the family went on long road trips. The truth? I'd spend my time staring out the side window, imagining one of my comic book superheroes traveling alongside the family car. ðĶļ♂️ð
