Saturday mornings I was typically the first in the family awake. 😉
It was all my plan...I'd get up early enough to watch Saturday morning cartoons as soon as they started. I had a complete schedule of shows to watch - four hours straight - as long as my parents didn't decide to throw me outside because I was watching too much TV! 😅
Kids these days wouldn't understand how important it was to get home right after school so you didn't miss your favorite afternoon cartoons! 😅
It was an unwritten rule that after the first sign of lightning, you had to head home immediately! 😳⛈️
There's nothing like a rain shower to cool you off after an afternoon of running around the neighborhood! 🌧👟⚽️😁
When those afternoon showers happened at the end of the school day! Aside from staying later (why would we want stay any longer than we had to?) we had no choice but to run as quick as we could back to the house before we got completely soaked! 😳🌧
It was often disappointing when I hoped to spend my Saturday outside, but the weather didn't cooperate. Thankfully, I had my music and my drawings to keep me busy. 😎✏️🎶🎵
