Hoops

With summer vacation coming to a rapid close, I would try and squeeze in as much fun as I could in the last days...like venturing out to the park behind our house to shoot hoops! 😁🏀

Brat

I have to admit, I was often a bit of a brat to my sister! 😅

Bus

You know summer vacation is almost over when you see the school buses in the neighborhood as the drivers learn their routes for the new school year! 🥺📚🎒

Change of Venue

When our commotion would finally get on my parents' nerves, they'd kick my friend and I out of the house.

S'ok...we'd just go over to HIS house until his parents couldn't stand our shenanigans anymore. 🤣

Up on the Rooftop

Let's be honest...most of us can relate to this scene, since it's happened to us at some point in our lifetime...🥏😅

Badminton

 

When our parents wanted us to play outside, they'd set up the badminton net in the yard. Like we'd take the bait and play a game or two...hundred 🤣🏸

Where Everybody Knows Your Name

I was very accident prone as a child. I think the hospital staff had seen me enough they knew who I was the moment I walked in the emergency room...again! 🤕

When it Counts

I always joked that I turned my brain off during summer vacation. Even something as simple as counting change could prove to be a challenge.

Ironically, just after I drew this, someone pointed out I had counted some currency wrong. Coincidence? 🤔 

Road Trip

I can't be the only one to allow my imagination to wonder a bit on a long road trip. 😅

Convenience

Though I was *supposed* to stay in the neighborhood, it was nice to venture out on occasion to the convenience store for an iced drink. 😋🥤

Space Battles

While my father watched drag racing on Sunday afternoons, I would often find a spot on the family room floor, spread out a blank sheet of paper, and lie there for hours drawing space battles 🏁 🚀💥

 

Daytime TV

Thank goodness for daytime television...it kept my sister and I occupied during the summer!😅📺
