Shout out to the kids who read in the car at night. ๐
No, we didn't have smartphones or tablets with light-up screens back in the day...we had to rely on the car's headlights behind us to be able to see what we were reading! ๐ ๐

When we were younger, my sister was enrolled in dance classes. While she was at practice, I was left to fend for myself in the dance hall's waiting room. Some of the other kids there were...interesting.
Out of all the books and toys there to keep the younger children busy, the best toy was a Fisher Price Movie Viewer. It was popular among the other kids, so I didn't get much of an opportunity to use it. So, I decided in this drawing, Zack should have it! ๐๐
Complain about how cold it felt in the house, and you'd find yourself marching upstairs to put one of those knit sweaters on.
Unfortunately, I didn't like those sweaters - they were often very itchy.
So, either live with the cold ๐ฅถ, or spend the day feeling itchy๐ณ.
I don't remember which one of us was worse, but my sister and I fought enough in the back seat of the family station wagon that the threat of "turning the car around" came up a number of times! ๐ณ๐
One of the worst feelings that I remember from my days in elementary school was the day I had to make up a test while the rest of the school was in an assembly. It was sheer torture listening to all the other children having fun while I was stuck working on a lengthy test. ๐ฎ๐จ๐✏️
When the family station wagon entered an intersection as the traffic light turned red, my parents would refer to it as an "orange light".
It was interesting how many "orange lights" we would encounter whenever we were running late ๐
Report card time!
This was the time in the school year I'd often find out I had neglected my schoolwork enough that I was dangerously close to failing.
The last few weeks of the school year would become an academic sprint to make sure I passed all my subjects.
Somehow, it worked every time! ๐
When you are a younger sibling, you get to deal with hand-me-downs!
One of my favorite hand-me-downs was inheriting my sister's old Walkman. The ability to listen to music while outside at recess felt like a total game changer! ๐๐ถ๐ต
Homework time....or not! I may have intended to work on my homework, but it wouldn't take long for my mind to wonder, and soon the random doodles would take over the page! ๐ ✏️
Bugs Bunny is drawn in the style of my favorite version of him - The Looney Tunes Show (2011)! ๐ฐ๐ฅ
Since my parents would limit the amount of TV my sister and I could watch, Saturday Night television was definitely a highlight of the week. ๐๐บ
When all you needed on a Saturday was a handful of die cast cars and a length of orange track to keep you busy for hours! ๐๐
