Before I owned a stereo...before I owned a radio...I owned a (children's) record player. My first official "45" (that was not a read along story time accompaniment record) was "Funky Town" by Lipps Inc. I loved that song so much I drove my family nuts by playing it over and over and over again. 😂🤣
It's no surprise that funk would become one of the musical genres that I would gravitate to in my later years. If you've heard me play the drums, you can hear some funk influences in the rhythms. 🎶🥁🎶
