When the temperature dropped, the house interior would generally get pretty cold. Sometimes, the best opportunity to warm up was when Dad started a fire in the fireplace! 😊🔥

Ready to Pounce

When we played football during recess, our team usually had me cover the quarterback.

We had a rule when we played...the defense couldn't cross the line of scrimmage to go after the QB for a set number of seconds. I treated my job very seriously...I felt like a badger, ready to pounce once the time had lapsed! I just stood there waiting while I counted! 😠🏈 😅

Alone

I feel like many kids these days won't get to experience a parent leaving them alone in a car to run into a store "for a few minutes". 😅🛍🛒
